The public relations team at Ware Anthony Rust (WAR) has been shortlisted within two categories in the CIPR PRide Awards for its Late Payments campaign on behalf of financial services client Bacs, the organisation behind Direct Debit and Bacs Direct Credit. From 1,221 entries the WAR team is now in the running for the top prize in both the Corporate and Business Communications and Best Campaign £10k and Under categories.
The Late Payments campaign set out to build a reputation for Bacs’ as champion and advocate for SMEs and position the organisation as an authoritative voice within the UK business community, opening doors for dialogue between Bacs and high profile corporate partners. It also sought to build awareness of the benefits of the Bacs Direct Credit automated payments scheme and help drive usage of Bacs automated payments in the SME sector.
The WAR team’s proactive public relations campaign communicated compelling messages to the business community and key influencers, reaching a total audience of 292,790,890, through national media coverage, including BBC Breakfast Business News. 100% of the editorial generated positively promoted Bacs as an authoritative voice on the late payments issue and facilitated working partnerships with organisations like the Institute of Credit Management and Forum of Private Business.
The cost effective campaign delivered an impressive cost per thousand return on investment (ROI) of 0.02p.
